AB PERSONAL DIARY (EACH DAY A LESSON)

Hi….My visit on January 27, 2008 (Sunday) to the Todapur basti area (New Delhi) was a great cartoon-01.jpgexperience. I had visited the place with a plan to conduct a drawing and singing competition within the Municipality school for children ageing 5-10Yrs and also to make these young lads realize the importance of education in their lives.
In the beginning, things were not easy. Children were reluctant to come together and participate in the competition. After some efforts, few of them got in and the rest followed. There were around 50 boys and girls who participated in the two competitions.
Lakshay works for promoting education..so the theme of competition also went with the same cause. It was cool to find 80% of children painted computers and flowers. This clearly shows a combination of ‘modernity blending with tradition’ in our next generation. There were some special cases wherein a child name Divya and few others’ came up with arts of Goddess Durga, Lion and Skycrapers.
Few prizes were also available with us to do the honors. After the completion of these activities, our group got together to make these children learn the importance of education and how they should move towards realising their dreams. We tried to identify what makes them move away from the school by bunking school, missing school, and even leave school.
All kinds of reasons came in which revolved around environment that they live in, parents orientation towards education, lack of facilities, money and many others…After listening to most of them, the point that really struck me was ‘money’ was not the foremost issue which walled them towards education. There parents were open to pay their fees.
I believe their problem lies in the availability of direction and guidance. A bit of motivation and provision of basic facilities will help them improve for sure…I know it is pre-mature to make a mindset on their actual problems but this is what my first experience was all about…never the less, I am already up for it and will be visiting again next weekend…so lets wait till then…thanks

{January 27, 2008}   Reaching a ‘Lakshay’ :)
I have a meeting tomorrow with a group of young individuals who are all getting together for a common cause. Actually we are getting along for a project name ‘Lakshay’. It is a self funded project of rehabilating young children and bring them to school so as to give them a chance of leading a better life…I am pretty excited and ambitious about the whole meeting tomorrow. I have certain questions in mind. These questions are pertaining to the integrity of these people in the cause. I don’t know how strongly these people believe in the cause and how far sighted they are in helping these people…but whatsoever the case may be, I am sure of what I am going for and am totally up for it… so lets see what happens tomorrow…will keep you posted…thanks & tcare

{January 12, 2008}   A Silent Day
Hi All, It is nice to share another day with you. Today, was a silent day. I kept silent doing my work. I found out some interesting reports on global real estate and global retail. I found these reports from CB Research Ellis. It is an Australian real estate consultancy providing management and market research solutions worldwide. I read many articles  on forbesonline and the one which enticed me enough to share it with you guys is on management philosophy. You can click on the following link:-http://www.forbes.com/leadership/innovation/2007/12/20/schaub-randori-philosophy-lead-innovation-cx_ks_1220aikido.html
This is a good article which talks about application of some Japanese concepts that could help you in meeting challanges both on personal and professional fronts….The concepts are derived from Japanese martial art. I am sure you are going to like it.

{January 9, 2008}   I had planned my future today!
I was in the office the whole day. It was a routine affair. Reached office at 9:00 am and started working by 9:30. The only thing that went differently today was that I sat in an interview and in a meeting with one of the prospective client. Today, for the first time I realised, it is superior to be an engineer and then an MBA rather just being a simple commerce MBA or an art graduate MBA for that matter.
I came back home and asked the same question from my father that Is it better to be an engineer MBA then an MBA from other disciplines. Even my father agreed and said a technical MBA has an edge as compared to a non-tech guy. I felt bad for sometime because I don’t want to see myself downupon others. My father told me, there is no reason for you to feel bad on this because there is no comparison. He said; “What you have others’ don’t have and what they do, you don’t?”Besides this, world is so big…How can you keep compairing yourself with others??
I don’t know…discussion seemed a bit unfair to me. Presently, I am just moving on with a eased notion to my taste  and  that is degree does not guarantee your dream to get travelled till reality. It takes allot more then just a degree. Let us see, I made my career plan for next 28 years today. I had specified what all areas/ industries I would be working in and what finally I would like to achieve. Those who read this blog, must pray to god that I stick to my plans that I had defined today… Thanks & Tcare.

!!Life is One so let’s have fun!!Hi All, I am very excited with the coming of the new year i.e. year 2008. This year is going to be an year of reckoning for me on personal fronts. I have great aspirations in life and the theme that runs this season/year for me  is to materialize and make myself conspicuous to my peers.  I have identified few areas which I think would help me achieve my objectives.
Every year, we people talk about resolutions so invariably. Falling suit to the same sentiment, I would like to quote my resolutions for the year 2008, making this post more generalized, rhetoric and understood in nature.
I am looking forward to transform myself into an institution. For this, I have identified two main keys to unleash my hidden strengths and accompalish my objects..
The first key is the ‘Key to Knowledge’. I will be using ‘knowledge’ as my biggest weapon to overcome all hardships. I am sure, the variety of problems or hardships are very diverse in kind and scalable in nature but personally, I think my kinda problem advocates ’knowledge’ as the best alternative available thereof…
The second key which is of course the most precious and most involving is ’The Society Key-Networking’ or ‘The Brahmastra’ if I may say so..This year I will be working towards developing my contacts and improving my networks so as to get closer to my goals.
These two keys are going to be my main focus areas for the year 2008. And honestly, the way I am feeling today, is the way I would want to feel all my days…(Damn-It’s so cold :) .
Once again, wishing you all a very exciting year ahead. God bless us alll…Enjoy!!
